Current Applications Projects

  • NetBeans / Web and Java EE

The NetBeans IDE provides tools for building all Java EE components, including web pages, servlets, web services, and Enterprise Java Beans. The IDE make it easy to create Java EE projects that rely on the Spring and Hibernate frameworks. The editor takes advantage of full syntax highlighting, code completion, pop-up documentation, and error checking for JSP, JSF, XML, JavaScript, CSS and PHP - even mixed. In addition, it supports navigation and refactoring for mapping files.

  • Sun Development Tools / NetBeans Visual Web Pack / Sun Java Studio Creator (Japan / China / Korea)

A new generation tool for Java application development. This effort, code named "Project Rave" brings together the power of the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition, with the kind of simplified development model acknowledged by many developers as the most effective, most productive working environment.

Previous Research and Projects

  • Sun Studio / Sun Studio Performance Tools, assess the performance of your code, identify potential performance problems, and locate the part of the code where the problems occur.
  • Profiling Complex Java Programs, illustrates how to analyze the performance of a mixed Java/C++ application.
  • Sun WorkShop TEA (Thread Event Analyzer), helps developers understand the synchronization behavior of their explicitly threaded applications.
  • Sun Performance WorkShop, provides optimizing compilers that allow users to get the best possible performance from their application.
  • Multi-threaded Programming
  • Automatic Differentiation, generates, with minimal human effort, efficient derivative code for models implemented as computer programs.
  • Problem Solving Environment, provides all the computational facilities needed to solve a target class of problems.
  • Parallel / Distributed Computation
  • Shape Optimization and Mechanic Simulation
  • Finite Element Analysis: Mesh Generation & Domain Decomposition
  • Graphics Interactive User Interface and Geometry Specification

  • Mesh Generation and Grid Generation on the Web
